Avon/Blake

As an aid to the A-B story project, here are all the stories that I listed as "A-B" in the gen title list. (No, I'm not a librarian myself, but I am the offspring of two librarians who met on the job. Yes, honestly, it's in the blood, I can't help it. :)

Please keep in mind that:

1) I didn't include ensemble stories that deal with a larger cast, even though they may have very tasty A-B bits (example: =The Machiavelli Factor=).

2) Some of these stories are dreadful Blake-bashers! Examples: "Engineer," "This Ill-wresting World." As an Avon fan, I like these stories anyway, but Blake fans should proceed with caution.

3) Your analysis of the story may differ from mine. For that matter, I might classify the stories differently if I did it all over again; deciding what are the most important relationships in a B7 story is often a very subjective matter.

4) And I make no guarantees as to the general quality of stories noted here! The job of picking out the good stuff (and adding more) still awaits, and I'm looking forward to the compilation.

Two slashy gen stories that I =do= especially recommend for A/B fans, and that I don't think have been mentioned yet, are "Rogues" by Teri White in =Roads Not Travelled= (an excellent zine in general, if only you can get hold of a copy; this story is rather dark but very slashy), and Sheila Paulson's =Uses of Adversity=. Sheila Paulson in general is a good author for gen A-B, as are Rebecca Ann Brothers, Linda Knights, Teri White (in RL a pro writer of slashy mystery/thrillers, recommended!), and of course xBryn Lantry. Wonder if we can persuade them to put some of their older, hard-to-find stories into web archives?
