Here are a few Linux bits and pieces that I have here:

SUSE Linux on the HP Compaq nc8430: My experiences with getting SUSE Linux up and running on an HP Compaq nc8430 laptop.
Ubuntu Linux on the HP Compaq nc8430: My experiences with getting Ubuntu Linux up and running on an HP Compaq nc8430 laptop. This is pretty thin, since I'm now a confirmed SUSE user. It may be of some help, though.
