Partial Lunar Eclipse: June 26 2010



The partial lunar eclipse of June 26 2010 will be visible over eastern Asia, Australasia, the Pacific, and (partially) the Americas. The Moon will be about half covered by the Earth's umbral shadow at maximum eclipse; the umbral magnitude is 0.542.

The partial eclipse will begin at 10:16:32 UT and end over 2½ hours later at 13:00:19 UT, with the moment of greatest eclipse at 11:38:29 UT. The penumbral phases of the eclipse begin at 08:55:34 UT and end at 14:21:25 UT; these will be visible over a slightly larger area.
